Our Life Together: God calls us, His people, individually and collectively to Himself.
God guides each one and all into a local body of believers, part of the larger body of Christ. As members of His body, United Baptist Church, we structure our life together so that with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can prayerfully and obediently live out our call to love God, love one another and love our neighbor.
Loving God (Matthew 22: 37, 38): God calls us to worship that engages our entire beings,
centers on God, builds our community, and nurtures the individual believers Christian walk.
Prayer is foundational to our life together: prayer that adores God, confesses our failures,
abounds in thanksgiving and seeks Gods intervention in our lives.
Stewardship of our resources is our offering to God from which we support all that
we do as the body of Christ.
Loving One Another (Matthew 22:39): We are a community that welcomes every newcomer.
We are called to sustain a loving and joyful life together.
We are committed to nurturing and strengthening each member’s relationship with Christ
and spiritual maturity. We are committed to equipping each believer for ministry.
Loving Our Neighbor (Matthew 28:19, 20):
We believe that we are called to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the community
in which we live. We support the spreading of the Word with the world beyond Lewiston-Auburn.
We serve our neighbors in Christs name.
We do now, in the presence of God and this congregation,
make confession of our Christian faith and commitment.
We love our heavenly Father and we seek to know Gods will.
We conform our lives to the teachings of Christ and to have His Spirit in all our endeavors.
As participants in this community of faith, we promise faithfully and earnestly to make our
lives more pleasing to God, seeking thereby to make this a more Christ-like world.
We as members of Christs Body consider it a privilege to serve others
and joyfully bear our responsibility as stewards to claim the resources God has given us.
We obediently commit these resources to sustaining our life together, as we love, nurture
and care for one another. We welcome newcomers into Gods fellowship and meet them where
they are spiritually.
We mutually encourage and support one another as friends to know God,
to read and study His Word, to grow and mature spiritually in preparation
for serving in Christs ministry and sharing His Gospel in mission in the world.

To develop a loving and ministering family of Christ-like believers,
And to share in word and deed the message that will transform the world,
